The SSBL teams continue to grow, adding several new players to 25+ and 40+ divisional teams this season.  For 2024, all 15 teams from fro the two divisions last season return to play again.  In addition, a 12th 25+ team, the Huntsville White Sox, join the SSBL The White Sox are managed by Ricardo Espinosa and is seeded with a few players from last season's Huntsville Cardinals.

A reminder that one of the ways our league grows is with the addition of totally new teams, or when a group of players from one or more teams splinter off and begin a new team.  If you are contemplating starting a new team for the 2025 season, in either division, please use me as a reference and I will be happy to help guide you through the administrative process.

Our 25+ division will play a 20-game season, normally playing two games per week:  One game on Sunday and one weekday evening game either on Mon, Tue, Wed, Thr, or Fri.  The season will culminate with a double-elimination tournament at the end of the season.

Our 40+ division will play a 20-game season, playing a single game during the week, on Tuesday night (and an additional game on Sunday. Our 40+ division will also play teams in a sister organization and end the season with a double elimination tournament.

LIABILITY WAIVERS!!!

This season our league will use an online process to execute REQUIRED Liability Waivers.  Every player in the league (returning player or new player) is required to complete an online waiver before participating in any SSBL event.  The waiver can be accessed through the following link:

The 2024 Rocket City Classic is scheduled to take place over the Labor Day weekend again this year.  Games will be played as early as Friday night (30 August) through Monday (02 Sep) and will cover four divisions:  25+, 40+, 50+, and 60+.  2024 Tournament forms will soon be available in the Handouts section on this website.  Hover your cursor over 'Forms' in the upper, gray selection bar.  Then, select 'Handouts'.
